Currency: Peru’s currency is the Peruvian Sol. It’s easy to exchange your currency into soles, and credit cards are widely accepted in many places.

Getting Around: Uber is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to get around Lima.

Weather: July is winter in Lima, with temperatures usually ranging from 55°F to 70°F. If you’re planning to travel outside Lima, we recommend checking the weather conditions for your destination.

Although our wedding ceremony will take place in Surco, we recommend staying in Miraflores or Barranco. These are two of Lima’s most popular neighborhoods among visitors, offering a wonderful variety of hotels, restaurants, and things to explore.

Don’t worry about getting to the church! The distance is manageable, but be sure to allow some extra time for Lima’s traffic.

If you have some free time during your stay, we recommend exploring Miraflores and its beautiful ocean views.

Barranco is also worth a visit, with its charming streets, little cafés, and the famous Bridge of Sighs.

If you’re interested in history, the Historic Center of Lima and its beautiful architecture are a must-see.

And since you’re in Peru, make sure to try some of our favorite local dishes, like ceviche and lomo saltado, or enjoy a traditional pisco sour.
